Torn Edge Header Graphics
Did you ever see an old brick building with a billboard painted on the side? I grew up in the far north suburbs of the Chicago area and I remember trips into the city....seeing these old brick buildings with faded lettering and backgrounds. That's what I tried to duplicate here.
The process isn't very difficult to duplicate. You'll definitely need Photoshop to achieve this technique. I would keep the message simple....only a couple of words, something to pique the interest of the visitor which would cause him/her to see what the rest of your site is about.
All the Torn Edge Headers are designed to grab the visitors eye....in that time you'll get a second or two to flash a quick message in front of your visitors face....a very powerful technique!
